Ted Bauman works at Banyan Hill Publishing as the house’s Editorial Director. He joining the publishing house in 2013. Banyan Hill is a media house based in Delray Beach, Florida. It publishes investment newsletters and research advisories. The media house has more than 200,000 subscribers. He is the editor of the Plan B club, the Banyan Letter, and the Alpha Stock Alert. The three newsletters have focused extensively on asset protection, international migration matters and proper investment opportunities with low risks. Ted Bauman was born in Washington D.C and raised in the popular Eastern shores of Maryland. He is the son of Robert Bauman, a former United States Congressman. He later on Migrated to South Africa and where he lived for more than two decades. Ted has undergone extensive education and training. He is an alumnus of South Africa’s Cape Town University where he holds a postgraduate degree in Economics and History.
Mr. Bauman has had a successful career ever since he graduated. He started working in South Africa for non-profit organizations in various executive positions. He was a manager for in charge of cheaper housing developments. He assisted more than 14 million people spread over 35 countries globally when he founded the Slum Dwellers International Organization.
Ted worked as a researcher, consultant and a writer of housing, financing and urban planning in the 2000’s. His clients included the World Bank, the South African government, the United Nations as well as global grant-making agencies. Ted has traveled to many countries globally in his line of duty. He has visited more than 75 countries in Asia, Europa, Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America. He has been able to invest and do business in some of these countries.
After his return to the United States in 2008, Ted worked at the International Housing Programs for Habitat for Humanity International as the director of the organization. He left the job in 2013, to fully embark on research and writing.
Ted Bauman has written numerous books, articles and even reports based on his researches. Some of his works have been published in journals including Journal of Microfinance, the Small Enterprise Development Journal as well as I the South African Newspapers. Ted is the author of “Where to Stash Your Cash (Legally)”. Ted lives in Atlanta with his family and when not in the office, he carries does charitable activities.
