Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi was born in Marilia and is married, with three children. Unlike the other banker executives who graduate with degrees in economics, administration, engineering, and accounting, he graduated Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi graduated with a degree philosophy from the University of Sao Paulo. He later did his postgraduate degree in socio-psychology at the School of Sociology and Politics of Sao Paulo.
In 1943, Amador Aguiar opened Bradesco’s first branch office in Marilia. In 1971, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi moved to work at its headquarters at Sao Paulo. He never stopped to grow career-wise, in 1984; he was appointed the director of marketing. He served as the executive vice- president of Bradesco’s private pension company as from 1992 up to 1998. In 1999, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi became the executive deputy president. He became the president of the insurance company in 2003, a position he has held up to 2009.

In March 2009, when Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi took over the presidency, the bank had fallen behind its rival, Itau Unibanco. The first thing he did was ruling out a run for the first place in the banking rankings. He had a goal of doing the best job in each municipality the company served.

This acquisition made Bradesco and HSBC make Banco de Deus bank outperform Itau Unibanco in their fundamental aspects; the number of account holders, branch network and total investment funds. It is also close to rivaling Itau in other sectors such as assets, granted loans, and deposits.
Acquisition of HSBC helped Bradesco conquer the market at once, a step that would take them about six years if they depended on organic growth.
